Global Significance and Global Mindset

The “how” of corporate-startup partnering

To me, “global significance” means being an effective global citizen, be it as an individual or a company.

That entails three things:

  1. Curiosity: To understand the world

  2. Connections: To getting to know others and learning about the world

  3. Competence: The ability to do this in a way that is sensitive and be able to improve one’s own capabilities in the process

I delve deeper into these three points that foster a “global mindset” in my book Gorillas Can Dance: Lessons from Microsoft and Other Corporations on Partnering with Startups.
